GedFamilies facilitates the transfer of GEDCOM files to iOS devices, such as iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, allowing users to access and edit their genealogical data on the go. The application offers a range of functionalities:

 <li>Management of locations and addresses, including geolocation support via Maps</li>

 <li>Flexible viewing options in both portrait and landscape modes across all views</li>

The application is built on a highly efficient database implementation, capable of handling very large family files.

To transfer family files between your device and PC, GedFamilies requires either a Wi-Fi network or a USB connection via iTunes. The USB option utilizes iTunes File Sharing, necessitating iOS version 3.2 or higher.

A companion program, GedFamilies Sync, is required for file transfers, which can be downloaded at no cost from <a href="https://www.telgen.co.uk/gedfamilies">www.telgen.co.uk/gedfamilies</a>.

A sample family file is included with the application.

User support and information exchange are facilitated through a dedicated forum available at <a href="https://www.telgen.co.uk/gedfamilies/forum">www.telgen.co.uk/gedfamilies/forum</a>.
